The current official site, roslegacy.net, presents Download for PC, Download for Mobile and Register Now actions, calls the game free to play and, since September 25, 2026, shows the status Open Beta. On September 22 the same site still read Closed Beta, with Open Beta listed as the next phase. On September 27 the site's PC route dl.roslegacy.net/full redirected to an 8.25GB Windows ZIP built September 25, and the operator's Android route served the current APK. Those facts establish that the downloads are public and the game is in an open test much more strongly than a creator video or community screenshot.

No official page displays a calendar launch day, launch month or dated global-release notice. The former game page described ROS Legacy as a fan-made revival project not affiliated with or endorsed by the original publisher or rights holders; roslegacy.net now credits Mirae Labs as publisher. The Myth Games game directory separately continues to list ROS Legacy as Under Development. 03The dated status timeline

On July 26, 2026, the official game page said Coming Soon and offered Pre-Register. It had no public client or dated test window. The source monitor captured a materially different page on August 15: the title became ROS Legacy | Play Free Now, the description said the game was officially live, and the visible page added Windows download, servers-online, match and map information. That is the first observed switch in the repository's first-party record.

On September 4, the last successful automated snapshot of that page still held the Play Free Now title and live-access description. The hostname ros.mythgames.net then stopped resolving; on September 21 and again on September 22 it returned no DNS records, while the operator's dated list of official addresses in Discord, revised September 20, named roslegacy.net as the official site. On September 19 the operator announced that mobile is handled by Mirae Labs and that the Android Pre-OBT is open to everyone, and on September 22 the Myth Games installer endpoint still served the same 8.32GB ZIP first observed on September 15. On September 25 roslegacy.net switched its status to Open Beta and its Download for PC button to dl.roslegacy.net/full, which served a new 8.25GB package; the Myth Games route returned HTTP 404 from September 26. The source trail therefore supports ongoing downloads and an open test even though the original landing page is gone.

The current package filename includes 202609251811, which looks like a September 25 timestamp, and the previous one included 202609121256. Neither should be presented as the release date or a formal version because the operator does not label them that way. A build timestamp answers which file was observed; a release date answers when the operator formally defines a launch. This page records each at its proper level.

04Tests, registration and countdowns use different clocks

Pre register, register, alpha test, beta test, coming soon and countdown all describe different clocks, and treating them as one is how release rumours start. Joining a list, receiving limited test access, opening a public client and announcing a formal launch are separate moments. As of September 27, 2026 the operator's current stage is the Open Beta, open to everyone with no invitation required, and no calendar launch date has been published. Old registration pages, countdown widgets and creator test titles describe earlier moments and should not be read as the current one.

A countdown is evidence only when the official site attaches it to a named event, time zone, region and platform. A copied timer can expire while the service remains limited, delayed or unavailable in a country. Check roslegacy.net first because it owns the current status label and roadmap. Use the stable dl.roslegacy.net/full route to verify that the Windows file still resolves and dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk for the Android build, then compare the Myth Games game directory and the official Discord announcements. If one page is temporarily unavailable but the download endpoints work, report both observations with their dates rather than declaring that the project has closed or fully launched.

For a future dated announcement, record the original URL, publication time, named platform, country or region, access stage and player action. A formal global release, an open test, scheduled maintenance and a new installer build are different update types. The page title and description may change before every other company surface catches up, so the exact wording and time are more useful than a screenshot without a source.

Mobile and console timing require their own first-party destinations. Android is live through the Mirae Labs build; iOS is described only as a future possibility, and the roslegacy.net roadmap promises all platforms only at the undated Official Release phase.
