ROS Legacy Mobile
ROS Legacy Mobile is open to everyone on Android. On September 19, 2026 the operator announced that the mobile build is handled by Mirae Labs and that Pre-OBT no longer needs an invitation or prior access. The stable download route dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk answered with a 103.5MB package on September 21, and accounts are created through Mirae Labs. The PC build is a separate track that is not part of this Pre-OBT opening, so mobile and desktop players currently follow different routes.
01What Pre-OBT means for Android players
The September 19 operator announcement states that ROS Legacy Mobile is handled by Mirae Labs effective immediately, and that everyone can play the mobile build for free during Pre-OBT. The same post says no previous access or invitation is required, which retires the earlier waiting flow that sent players to a pre-registration form. Anyone who held back because they missed the August registration window can create an account now and enter directly.
Pre-OBT sits before the Open Beta Test, not after it. The operator describes ongoing improvements, fixes and adjustments while the build moves toward OBT, and the community FAQ states that no confirmed launch date has been published. Treat the current client as a moving target: deployment notes on September 14, 16, 17 and 18 each changed gameplay behaviour, from vehicle handling and bullet registration to lobby themes and the in-game store.
The mobile track is genuinely separate from desktop. The announcement is explicit that the PC version is still in progress and is not included in this Pre-OBT opening, with another update promised when it is ready. A player who reads a PC patch note cannot assume the same change reached Android on the same day.
02Downloading the Android APK
Use the stable route dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk rather than a filename copied from a chat message. On September 21 that address followed through to cdn.mobile.roslegacy.net and served RoS-Legacy-2026091811.apk at 108,566,114 bytes, about 103.5MB, last modified September 18 at 11:06 UTC. The stable address keeps working when the operator replaces the build; a hardcoded filename stops being current the moment a new package ships.
Android blocks installation from outside the Play Store until you allow it for the browser or file manager you used. Grant that permission to the app you downloaded with, install the package, then sign in with the Mirae Labs account. Since the September 17 build the client updates itself: it checks on launch, downloads and installs, and Android asks once for permission to let it do so. Earlier builds required a manual reinstall over the existing app, which the operator confirmed keeps saved data.
Storage planning is simple compared with desktop. The download is roughly 103.5MB against 7,935.7MB for the current PC installer, so the mobile entry point is about seventy-seven times smaller. The installed footprint will exceed the package size once assets unpack, and the self-updater will pull further content, so leave headroom rather than matching the download figure exactly.
03Creating the account that mobile needs
Mobile access runs through a Mirae Labs account at mirae-labs.com/register, with the matching sign-in page at mirae-labs.com/login. The registration form asks for a username of three to twelve letters and numbers, an email address, a password meeting an eight to sixty-four character rule with upper case, lower case and a digit, and a birthdate. Both pages answered on September 21.
This replaced the older route. The previous registration host ros.mythgames.net no longer resolves: on September 21 it returned no A, AAAA, CNAME, NS or SOA records through both 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8, while sibling hosts on the same domain still resolved normally. Search results, videos and forum posts that still send players to that address are describing a stage that has ended, which is why so many searches for sign in and create account currently lead nowhere useful.
The operator publishes its link list in the Discord information channel and keeps a dated revision on it, most recently September 20 at 03:20. That list names roslegacy.net as the official website, mirae-labs.com for login and registration, dl.mythgames.net for the desktop installer and dl.roslegacy.net for the Android package. Checking a link against that list before entering credentials is faster than judging a site by how official its layout looks.
04How mobile and PC actually interact
Progress is shared, matches are not. The operator FAQ states that progress synchronises across platforms, so advancement earned on Android appears on PC and the reverse, and a player can switch without restarting. The same FAQ states that mobile and PC use separate matchmaking queues: mobile players meet mobile players, PC players meet PC players. Squading with a friend on the other platform is therefore not possible even though the account carries over.
The two builds also move at different speeds. Mobile-specific fixes in the September 16 and 17 deployments covered loading-screen hangs after pressing play, custom HUD settings resetting each match, reconnection behaviour on wifi and mobile data, and unresponsive ammo, health and reload controls. The weather system was disabled for mobile queues so that those matches run in daylight only, which is a mobile-only condition with no desktop equivalent.
The game is free to play on both tracks. The FAQ states that top-ups are optional and reachable through Store then Top-Up, and that no payment is required to play. Nothing in the current first-party material describes a paid entry tier, a tester fee or a paid priority queue for Pre-OBT.
05What is known, and what is still open
Android is the only mobile platform. The launch post states that the mobile version is available exclusively on Android, that iOS support is not available at this time, and that expanding to other platforms is something the team will look into in future. That is a stated intention, not a scheduled release, and no iOS date, store listing or TestFlight route appears in any first-party source checked on September 21.
The operator asks for structured bug reports and lists what helps: device model, Android version, what you were doing, what happened, whether it reproduces, and screenshots or recordings. Reports now record whether they came from PC or mobile, and mobile debug logging was enabled with the September 17 build so that device-side problems become visible to the team. Reports that only say it does not work are explicitly called out as unhelpful.
Several things have not been published and should not be inferred from the current build. No launch date has been announced, no minimum device specification has been issued, no regional availability list exists, and no schedule has been given for when the PC version joins the open phase. The operator has committed only to providing another update once the PC version is ready.
