ROS Legacy Updates
This ROS Legacy update tracker records dated changes from first-party pages instead of turning repeated social posts into patch notes. The 2026 sequence is now clear: the former game page moved from Coming Soon and Pre-Register to Play Free Now on August 15, the operator opened the Android Pre-OBT through Mirae Labs on September 19, the old game page stopped resolving and roslegacy.net became the official site by September 21, and on September 25 the site switched to Open Beta and moved the Windows download to dl.roslegacy.net/full, retiring the Myth Games route. The Myth Games game directory separately remains Under Development.
01September 25–27, 2026 — Open Beta goes live, PC download moves to roslegacy.net
By September 25 roslegacy.net changed its status from Closed Beta to Open Beta and its meta description to free to play, now in Open Beta. The five-phase roadmap moved Closed Beta to completed, marked Open Beta live with the description free and open to everyone, the final testing milestone before full launch, and moved Official Release to next. No phase carries a date, so the switch opens a test phase rather than announcing a launch day.
The Download for PC button now points to dl.roslegacy.net/full. On September 27 that route redirected to edge.roslegacy.net and returned ROSLegacy_Install_202609251811.zip at 8,251,115,387 bytes, about 8.25GB, replacing the September 12 package served through Myth Games. The former route dl.mythgames.net/rosl/full returned HTTP 404 on September 26 and 27, so tutorials and bookmarks that use it no longer work.
The Android route dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk still served RoS-Legacy-2026100505.apk, and the Under Development badge on the Myth Games directory did not change with the Open Beta switch. A community tutorial published September 26 is titled How to Migrate & Download ROS Legacy from Mirae Labs; the official site itself shows only the new download route and status, with no separate account-migration step.
02September 19–22, 2026 — mobile Pre-OBT, new official site, endpoints re-verified
On September 19 the operator announced in the official Discord that ROS Legacy Mobile is handled by Mirae Labs effective immediately, that the Android Pre-OBT is open to everyone for free without an invitation, and that the PC version is still in progress and not part of that opening. Accounts are created at mirae-labs.com/register, and the Android package comes from dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk, which served RoS-Legacy-2026100505.apk, about 103.1MB, on September 21 and 22.
By September 21 the former game page at ros.mythgames.net returned no DNS records, and the operator's link list dated September 20 named roslegacy.net as the official site. That site presents Download for PC, Download for Mobile and Register Now, credits Mirae Labs as publisher, and at that point labelled the stage Closed Beta with a roadmap of Alpha Test and Pre-Closed Beta Test completed, Closed Beta live, Open Beta next and Official Release planned, none of them dated. The invite formerly shown on the Myth Games Discord directory stopped resolving the same day; discord.gg/roslegacy is the working route.
On September 22 the then-current Windows endpoint dl.mythgames.net/rosl/full still redirected to ROSLegacy_Install_202609121256.zip at 8,321,139,847 bytes, the same file first observed on September 15, and the Myth Games game directory at chain.mythgames.net still listed ROS Legacy as Under Development. The practical consequence for players: use the Windows guide, the mobile guide and the register page for their routes; none of them depends on the withdrawn game page.
03September 15, 2026 — official Windows package verified
The stable Myth Games address at dl.mythgames.net/rosl/full returned a redirect to ROSLegacy_Install_202609121256.zip and the target responded with HTTP 200. The server reported 8,321,139,847 bytes, about 8.32GB. That route served the Windows client until the September 25 move to dl.roslegacy.net/full and has returned HTTP 404 since September 26.
The filename contains a September 12 timestamp, but the checked sources do not call it a release date, patch version or build number. This tracker records it as the current package target only. The former game page's last successful monitored snapshot on September 4 still said Play Free Now and described the game as officially live; the monitor could not fetch that page on September 15, and by September 21 the hostname had stopped resolving.
The practical player action was already different from July: use the official Windows route, keep extra disk space beyond the archive size and verify future replacements through the same stable domain. At the time of this entry Android, iOS, console links, system requirements and a formal patch history were still absent from the first-party pages; the Android answer changed four days later.
04August 15, 2026 — Coming Soon changed to Play Free Now
The source monitor captured a full first-party page change on August 15. The old Coming Soon title, launch-preparation copy and Pre-Register action were replaced by ROS Legacy | Play Free Now, a description that says the game is officially live and visible Windows download actions. The page also added a servers-online status and a much larger gameplay brief.
The updated page states 100 players, squads of one to four, one shrinking battlefield and a last-alive objective. It names Aegis Anti-Cheat and seven combat zones: Crash Site, The Slums, Frostfall, Highlands, Dust Quarter, Iron Town and Oasis. These names can now be used as first-party facts, unlike older creator-only location labels that remain community observations.
The footer also identifies ROS Legacy as a fan-made revival project not affiliated with or endorsed by the original publisher or rights holders. The Myth Games game directory did not make the same lifecycle change and continues to show Under Development. This tracker keeps that disagreement visible while treating the operator's link list and working downloads as the controlling access sources.
05July 26, 2026 — the previous waiting state
At that date the official game page was live at ros.mythgames.net and displayed ROS Legacy branding over aerial battle royale artwork. Its text said the game was coming soon, described a battle royale awaiting players, and said the project was preparing for launch. The page did not show a date, store link, download button, public test form or system requirements. It was the most direct status answer available from the game’s own page.
The Myth Games portfolio listed ROS Legacy as under development and attached the labels shooter game, multiplayer and PC. This provided useful platform and genre confirmation but did not narrow the launch window. The company’s Discord hub also exposed a dedicated ROS Legacy invitation at the time; that invite stopped resolving on September 21, and discord.gg/roslegacy replaced it.
That July record is retained because it explains why older search snippets and guides say there was no client. It is no longer the current access answer. The August 15 change superseded the waiting action, the September 19 Pre-OBT opening superseded the mobile answer and the September 25 Open Beta superseded the Closed Beta label; the lack of an exact calendar date remains unchanged.
06Creator pre-alpha footage — context, not a patch note
Falcon2FAST has published videos labelled pre-alpha, alpha and closed beta, plus tutorials about downloads, settings and Discord. The current automated feed includes a September 12 Discord discussion, a September 7 alternative-download video and a September 6 closed-beta title. Those uploads document what the community is discussing, but they are not first-party release notes or safer substitutes for the official download routes.
Creator footage remains useful when the observation is narrow and dated. A visible third-person build, settings screen or location can show what existed in that session. It cannot establish permanent server access, an official build version, global availability or malware safety for a file linked outside the official domain. The creator title stays attached whenever such footage appears in this wiki.
The official game brief captured on August 15 names seven zones, so the editorial boundary has moved: Crash Site, The Slums, Frostfall, Highlands, Dust Quarter, Iron Town and Oasis are first-party names. Creator labels such as Observatory, Echo Valley, Bitter Lake and Fearless Fiord remain separate unless the live client or a first-party page establishes the same terms.
07What qualifies as a tracker update
A new entry needs a date, a stable source and a meaningful change. Examples include an exact test window, an official client or store page, published system requirements, a named platform expansion, patch notes, a new official trailer or a change in the company’s development status. Minor wording changes can be recorded when they alter what a player should do, such as replacing a coming-soon page with registration.
A rumor does not qualify because it is popular. Screenshots need an accessible original source; Discord statements should be traceable to an official server and channel; videos should be identified as publisher or creator material. When a source disappears, the tracker should preserve the date and explain that the destination changed rather than silently converting the claim into permanent truth.
Each major entry links to the guide it affects: a public client to the download guide, a dated test to the release page, documented mechanics to the gameplay overview. The tracker itself stays a chronological index.
08Signals worth watching next
The next high-value first-party signals are system requirements, a formal version or patch-note channel, maintenance notices and supported regions. These would help players distinguish a launcher problem from an unsupported PC or closed server. An iOS or console store link would also change a major search answer; it should come from roslegacy.net or the operator's Discord link list, not an APK directory or emulator tutorial.
Gameplay depth can expand from reproducible live-client evidence and first-party documents. The August game brief supplies match size, squad range, core loop, anti-cheat and seven zone names, but no first-party page publishes weapon statistics, loot probabilities, detailed controls or ranking rules. Numerical tables need a build identifier and repeatable method so an update does not leave an obsolete value presented as current.
A quiet tracker now means the public access state and monitored text stayed stable. It does not mean the client received no server-side changes. Without official patch notes or a visible version change, this page will not manufacture daily updates from community speculation.
09How the change record stays useful
Each future entry should preserve the previous state instead of rewriting history. A concise record includes the observation date, the first-party URL, the wording that changed and the player action affected. If a registration page opens, the entry should say who can register and for which platform. If a test closes, the tracker should keep the old dates while clearly marking that access has ended.
Source changes also matter. A social announcement may later point to a permanent news page or store listing; the more stable destination should become the main reference while the original post remains context. If an official page disappears, the tracker should say it is no longer reachable rather than treating its absence as proof that development stopped.
This method keeps updates compact and auditable. Players can scan what changed, open the source and move to the page that explains the practical consequence without reading repeated summaries of the same coming-soon message.
