ROS Legacy Download Guide

01The current official ROS Legacy download

Start at the official site roslegacy.net, which presents Download for PC, Download for Mobile and Register Now, calls the game free to play and has shown the status Open Beta since September 25, 2026. Its roadmap marks Alpha Test, Pre-Closed Beta Test and Closed Beta as completed and describes Open Beta as free and open to everyone. The former game page had switched from Coming Soon and Pre-Register to Play Free Now on August 15, 2026 before it went offline in September, so older search snippets and videos that say no client exists are stale.

The stable direct route is https://dl.roslegacy.net/full, the target of the site's Download for PC button. A header check on September 27 followed it to edge.roslegacy.net and received HTTP 200 for ROSLegacy_Install_202609251811.zip, with a content length of 8,251,115,387 bytes, about 8.25GB in decimal units or 7.68GiB. The timestamp in the filename identifies the observed package; it is not a published version number and changes when the operator replaces the build. The previous package, ROSLegacy_Install_202609121256.zip at 8.32GB, was served through Myth Games from September 15 to at least September 22.

The move matters for anyone following an older tutorial. The Myth Games route dl.mythgames.net/rosl/full returned HTTP 404 on September 26 and 27, so a guide, bookmark or Discord message that still points there leads nowhere. Use dl.roslegacy.net/full instead of saving the temporary edge.roslegacy.net target. A content-delivery redirect is normal for a large file, but a copied domain, shortened link, drive mirror or direct-message attachment is a different source chain. This wiki links the operator-controlled endpoint and does not host or repackage the client.

02Download and verify the Windows archive

Open the official site roslegacy.net and press Download for PC, or type the stable dl.roslegacy.net/full route directly. Before accepting a large transfer, confirm that the browser is still following a roslegacy.net domain. On the September 27 check, the server supplied the filename ROSLegacy_Install_202609251811.zip and an 8.25GB content length. A different target can be legitimate after an update, but it should still originate from the same stable official route.

Reserve more space than the archive size because the ZIP itself uses 8.25GB and the extracted client will require additional storage. The operator has not published minimum or recommended specifications on the checked pages, so the archive size does not tell you the final installed footprint, memory requirement or graphics target. Keep Windows and device drivers current, scan the completed archive with normal operating-system protection and do not disable antivirus because an unofficial tutorial tells you to do so.

The former official game page described the service as a fan-made revival project that is not affiliated with the original publisher or rights holders, and roslegacy.net now credits Mirae Labs as publisher. That disclosure is part of the project's history. A download page that asks for payment to an individual, requests a wallet seed phrase or demands credentials from another game is not reproducing the official access flow. Use the official Discord for support context, but verify any replacement file against the game site before running it.

• Use roslegacy.net or dl.roslegacy.net/full; the old dl.mythgames.net link returns 404.
• Expect a large ZIP; the target verified on September 27 was 8.25GB.
• Keep extra space for extraction and later updates.
• Scan the archive and leave normal Windows protection enabled.
• Never provide a wallet seed phrase or an unrelated account password.

03Pre-registration, registration and alpha test status

Pre-registration for ROS Legacy closed on August 16, 2026, and the phrase now describes a stage that has ended rather than a form anyone can still submit. Since September 19 the operator has opened mobile play to everyone for free with no invitation or prior access, and since September 25 roslegacy.net has labelled the whole project Open Beta, so a player who missed the August window is not behind anyone. Registration today is a normal account signup through Mirae Labs; the ROS Legacy Register and Sign In page walks through the current routes and explains which older instructions fail.

A ROS Legacy alpha test or ROS Legacy test server phrase belongs to an earlier selection round, not to a standing programme. The roslegacy.net roadmap now lists Alpha Test, Pre-Closed Beta Test and Closed Beta as completed phases and Open Beta as the live one, so judge a creator video titled alpha test or closed beta by its date: a September 23 recording labelled PC Close Beta Test #3 predates the Open Beta switch. Download availability also does not prove that every account, country or server will work continuously; if the client shows a region or maintenance notice, follow the wording in that client and confirm unusual instructions through the official Discord.

No first-party source describes paying anyone for tester selection, and the registration form asks only for a username, email, password and birthdate. A genuine registration step stays on an address published in the operator link list, explains what it collects and leads to recognisable support pages. The PC installer at dl.roslegacy.net/full is the verified desktop action; any separate tester invitation still needs its own dated confirmation from the operator.

04Android, iOS and APK status

Until September 19, 2026 the first-party pages described a PC-only project. That is no longer accurate. The operator announced that ROS Legacy Mobile is handled by Mirae Labs effective immediately, and that everyone can play the mobile build for free during Pre-OBT without an invitation or prior access. Android is live, and the dedicated walkthrough for it is the ROS Legacy Mobile page.

The Android package comes from the operator route dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk. On September 21 and September 22 that address followed through to cdn.mobile.roslegacy.net and returned RoS-Legacy-2026100505.apk, about 103.1MB, last modified October 5. Accounts are created at mirae-labs.com/register, which is the same portal named in the operator link list dated September 20. The earlier registration host ros.mythgames.net no longer resolves, so older tutorials pointing there describe a stage that has ended.

Two limits still apply. The mobile build is Android only: the launch post states that iOS support is not available at this time and describes other platforms as a future possibility with no date. And the desktop client is a separate download: the September 19 announcement kept PC out of the mobile Pre-OBT, and the PC installer moved to dl.roslegacy.net on September 25 alongside the Open Beta label. Progress synchronises across both platforms, but the operator FAQ states that mobile and PC use separate matchmaking queues, so an account carries over while a match does not.

05Storage, updates and account safety

Keep the original ZIP until the launcher is installed and working, but do not treat an old package as permanently current. The stable endpoint can redirect to a newer filename without changing the public URL. Re-check the official route when an update fails instead of downloading a replacement from a forum. Preserve any error message, launcher version and time when asking for help so support can distinguish a broken archive from server maintenance or an account problem.

Use a unique password if the client requires an account and never reuse a Discord token or another game's credentials. Disable unsolicited Discord direct messages if you only need announcements. Staff identity should be checked by server role and channel context; a matching avatar is not sufficient. The Aegis anti-cheat policy published with the former game page, captured August 15, 2026, also prohibits automation, process injection, file modification, packet manipulation and ban-evasion tools, so unofficial patches can create both security and account risk.

Avoid buying hardware from a rumored requirement list. The official site names Windows PC but does not publish CPU, memory, graphics or storage recommendations beyond what can be observed from the archive. Test the current machine first, keep enough free space for the download and extraction, and make one settings change at a time after the launcher runs.
